EPA provides a range of training courses, available on the Training Exchange (Trainex) website.
Key Training Programs
- Environmental Response Training Program: Technical and health and safety courses, exercise support, webinars, and online courses on the Environmental Response Training Program Virtual University. This includes a self-paced Basics to Superfund training course.
- CERCLA Education Center: Legal and technical foundational courses for Superfund removal and remedial programs and the environmental technologies used in cleanup. Includes specialized training such as the Hazard Ranking System.
- Community Involvement University: Professional development focused on effective community involvement, facilitation, risk communication, and cross-cultural collaboration.

- Contaminated Site Clean-Up Information: CLU-IN serves as a resource for the hazardous waste remediation community, offering information on innovative treatment and site characterization technologies. CLU-IN offers an ongoing public webinar series, hosted by EPA and partners such as the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council, a state-led environmental coalition focused on developing innovative solutions and best management practices. Recordings of past seminars are available in an archived library for on-demand viewing.
