About the Administrative Record

The Administrative Record for an EPA Superfund cleanup action is required by CERCLA (the Comprehensive Environmental Restoration, Compensation, and Liability Act), and contains all information that was considered or relied upon to select the cleanup remedy.

The Administrative Record can include correspondence, reports, public notices, fact sheets, photographs and maps, sampling plans, work plans, studies, Records of Decision, Community Relations Plans, public meeting transcripts, and more.
