Microplastics
This webinar will provide an overview of microplastics, the challenges of microplastic science, and the research conducted at EPA helping to fill the data gaps, including understanding fate and transport, identifying toxicity, and advancing sampling and analytical methods. The webinar will also cover the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council (ITRC) microplastics resources, including the Microplastics Outreach Toolkit.
Tribal Lands and Environment Forum (Minneapolis, MN)
The Tribal Lands and Environment Forum is a joint effort between the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals, the Tribal Waste and Response Steering Committee, and EPA’s Office of Land and Emergency Management.
EPA Brownfields Grant Writing Strategies
This online workshop hosted by Kansas State University will focus on ways to apply for EPA brownfields grants, including EPA’s Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup grants. The organizers encourage Tribes to attend.
TSWAN's Tribal Green Summit
Hosted by the Tribal Solid Waste Advisory Network (TSWAN) and the Snoqualmie Tribe, the Tribal Green Summit is dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability and Tribal waste management solutions. The summit will center around three key focus areas: composting & organics, waste reduction & recycling, and community resiliency & pollution reduction. The event will be held in person in Snoqualmie, WA.
Diisodecyl Phthalate (DIDP) and Diisononyl Phthalate (DINP): Tribal Consultation Technical Briefings
EPA will host technical briefings on September 9 and 11 as part of the Tribal consultation on developing a risk management strategy for DIDP and DINP. See the Tribal Invite Letter for details.
National Tanks Conference & Expo (Spokane, WA)
This conference is designed for Underground Storage Tank (UST) / Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) professionals, including tank inspectors; cleanup specialists; state, Tribal, and territorial employees; federal regulators; and industry representatives. The conference will be held in Spokane, WA.

Pacific Northwest Tribal Clean Water Act Training (Tulalip, WA)
Presented by the National Association of Wetland Managers, this training will address Clean Water Act programs including Section 106, Section 319, Section 303(d), water quality standards, and wetlands. It is intended for Tribes who work on these programs or are interested in pursuing Treatment in a similar manner as a State (TAS) status for one or more programs.

Smoke Management in the NW: EPA Region 10 Virtual Workshop
This half-day workshop hosted by EPA Region 10 will bring together land managers, air quality professionals, Tribal and state partners, and public health stakeholders to continue advancing collaborative approaches to smoke and wildfire management across the region.

Virtual Water Quality Standards Academy
EPA's Water Quality Standards (WQS) Academy provides WQS development and implementation information to WQS professionals. The course is designed for grantees with EPA water quality grants, such as 106 and 319. Registration will begin in the fall.
