EPA developed a detailed Berm Surveillance and Contingency Plan in 2019 that outlines protective measures that will be taken to monitor the berms and help mitigate any future flooding threats. EPA and DEQ were on Site to oversee the Potentially Responsible Parties conducting the April 10th Berm Inspection. You can review both documents below.

Investigation of the Smurfit-Stone Mill site is ongoing to determine the nature and extent of contamination. The site is divided into three management areas known as Operable Units (OUs).
