FY 2025 ARC Grant Guidelines in Region 7

FY 2025 Brownfields Assessment, Revolving Loan Fund (RLF), and Cleanup (ARC) Grant Guidelines Now Available

The FY25 ARC Grant Guidelines and related applicant resources are now available on www.grants.gov and the EPA Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization (OBLR) MARC Grant Application Resources page. Please note that an updated version of the FY25 Cleanup Grant Sample Site Characterization Letter Template is available for State/Tribal Environmental Authorities. The application submission deadline is Nov. 14, 2024.

This year, EPA pre-recorded training videos that provide an overview of the general submission, Narrative Information Sheet, and threshold criteria requirements. Those videos and corresponding presentation slides are available on OBLR’s MARC Grant Application Resources page under Open Solicitations.

Two National Applicant Outreach Webinars will be held this year, which will only cover the Narrative/Ranking criteria. (See dates in table below.)

Region 7’s Brownfield Team invites potential applicants to FY25 ARC Grants to a series of Microsoft Teams webinars to ask clarifying questions regarding any of the competition guidelines (see schedule below). EPA is invites any interested FY25 applicants to attend the below webinars listed below. (See dates below.)

These webinars will:

  • Provide an overview of the evaluation criteria.
  • Review key FAQs.
  • Share reminders relevant to preparing and submitting your applications.

All webinars will be recorded.* Please note that applications are due Nov. 14, 2024.

Registration is not required. For convenience, you may join the webinar using the links provided on the schedule. If you would like a copy of the webinar materials or access to the recordings, please email your request to R7_Brownfields@epa.gov. If you require any special accommodations for the webinars, please send an email to R7_Brownfields@epa.gov at least three working days in advance.

Please submit questions in advance to R7_Brownfields@epa.gov, so that we may be better prepared to respond.

We also encourage you to review the following:

  • Competition Guidelines and FY25 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) documents.
  • Minimum Grant Requirement recordings, which provide an overview of the Grant Submission Process, Narrative Information Sheet, and Threshold Requirements.
  • Ranking/Narrative Criteria webinar recordings that are relevant to the type of grant in which you are interested before the Region 7 webinars (see schedule below), since they may contain answers to, or provide better context for, your questions.

These documents and recordings, along with National Webinar schedule and other resources, are available online.

Finally, you are invited to attend the Heartland Federal Partners’ Grant Writing Workshop on Sept. 25, 2024, to discover the basics of grant writing, learn some tips from successful past applicants, and hear from several federal programs that have competitive resources that may benefit community improvement. For more information about the conference, including in-person or virtual registration, see the box below.

Please share this information with others who may be interested.
