Executive Order 13058, "Protecting Federal Employees and the Public from Exposure to Tobacco Smoke in the Federal Workplace," bans smoking in most federal facilities and spaces.  In addition, several state and local governments have passed legislation or instituted regulations to ban smoking in many workplaces and public places such as restaurants, bars, and parks.
